The Cardigan Flu
So friday night i went to ryans for poker... i wasn't planning on it... but he asked me if i was coming... so after a couple of seconds i figured why not... well ... after 15 bucks and 6 mikes i made to second place... that was 3 games and with second place i got my next one paid for... so 20 bucks and 8 mikes i was happy to get outta there... the next morning wasn't so pleasant... although by noon i was good enough to go to moncton for the afternoon with my good friend bill... and of course i bought cider... i came home and decided to take it easy... the cardigan flu can be a real bitch....
sunday was jam day... after spending some time at my moms with family and playing some guitar i grabbed my cider that my sister and mom had brought back from halifax and headed for home... and then dropped that off and then picked up the crew... it has been raining pretty crasy lately.... i've never seen vancouver rain as much as it does here... rain forest my ass... so we jammed and then we were done... i dropped one guy off and the other was going to music trivia... so that ment taking him home and dropping gear off and then taking him to the trivia... but when we got there his team wasn't there... so i took him to wendy's and then back home... it wasn't raining yesterday... but today as i was leaving the house it started to come down ... the ground is pretty soft and soggy... and HURRICANE WILMA is coming... although it's going to be a post tropical storm or something like that it's mixing with 2 other systems and i reckon it's going to bring down some water along with some trees or at least some branches... with in turn can cause power outages.. boomer (our local weather guy) says the ground is soft and soggy too... which mixed with high winds could result in some trees kissing earth... so the tonight and tomorrow should be interesting... i was really hoping for some warm air... but the forcast doesn't say anything like that... it's a late fall so to speak... the leaves are just starting to turn colors and with the wet leaves and such .... bla bla bla...
today i spent some time at my moms... getting ready for a trip... i'm not sure when i'm going... i do know that it will probably be before the end of the year... originally i wanted to go to a resort and chill by the pool... but that would interfer with my vancouver plans next summer... so as the folks are going to go to florida for a couple of months... i figured i go for the drive and maybe visit a resort or something in the carribean for a day or 2... and i probably will do something like that.. but i might wait till my sibs are outta school for the holidays and fly down if i can get a good seat sale... although... maybe some time by myself if what i need... i don't know... i do know that life is good and regardless... everything seems so triviall... i'm spent...
