ok...let me skip to the middle...i was talking about relationships...and well you don't get a better relationship than band mates...and well as i don't have pics scanned right now of my first 2 bands...this is my 3...well if i really wanted to count evolutions this would be my 4th ot 5th or maybe even 6th...ok so let me recount just to be sure...there was matrix...steve and john and poser and myself...then we (I) fired poser...then that band folded...then it was voodoo gangster....apparently that name was taken..but it was steve billy and steve macLoed? then we (I) fired macLeod...except he quit before i told him he was out...and we went into work mode and looked for another drummer...who was woody...and we changed the name to FCU...then we moved to BC...with out woody...and after alot of work in writing we got chris desilva...we called our selves melody kills...then that folded and after 2 years i joined forces with wayne powell (seen below in the middle) wayne thought we needed 2 guitar players and i didn't see the need...but i said what ever..he put an add in the local classifieds...and we got 1 reply from what i remember...we already had some songs written..and wayne talked to a drummer he knows from the band split lip ashtray...Keith aka dr. K...and we called ourselves soma...it was a strange time for me in a band...a temp drummer and a guitarist that i didn't want and the person himself was a bad vibe for me...after one show and way to many hours spent just by him alone we canned him...and not just by me...we put him on the speaker phone and we all told him he was done...i spent maybe 10 hours on my 5 bass tracks...and that's a large exaggeration...keith spent maybe 5 hours...wayne spent maybe 10 hours on guitar and maybe 5 on vocals..."johnny" spent, and i remember this clearly, 40 hours on his guitar....he was never ready...and now that i think of it we did 6 songs...one was all his...and as far as i know i'm the only one with the extra song...on a tape somewhere....it's classic...and good for a laugh...we took his stuff out of the mix and wayne rewrote his parts and we called ourselves vitamin voodoo...nothing to do with my 2nd band name....but someone took half a bottle of flinstone vitamins and half a bottle of pepto bismal and pour the pepto all over the pile of vitamins on top or a microwave stand...i found it and wondered who had done this...i said it's like vitamin voodoo...and click...hey guys how's this for a name? so it stuck....we ended up do alot of shows and making alot of friends...and writing alot of songs...for the record i didn't piss my pants in the pic...i think it's the lighting and the denim and no dount had a bit o' drink spilt on myself....i'm not passed out i'm faking...i'm going to post this and review and check for other related pics...
