i saw you

so yesterday i had interviews to fill a position that recently became vacant...it went well...they were on time and the interviews went quick...i'm starting to get the hang of this...then i was off to get the mail and go shoe shopping...i had taken woody out to the ch'town mall the night before cause he's going to start wearing his ear rings again...and i said ya...i need new shoes...so away we went and i found nothing....so the next day...yesterday i ended up at family shoes or what ever inthe confed mall...found a pair that felt just about right...but i don't want to settle...so i headed to source for sports...nothing...but i found out they sharpen skates...at that point i said this sucks...the sneaker industry is lame...they don't know what the customer wants...they are telling the customer what they want...what is cool..you don't have a choice...you will buy these stupid looking sneakers and like it...and other people will follow you because they don't have a choice either...i got in my truck and headed for home...as soon as the radio came on there was an inxs song on ...so i called woody...it was over by the time he answered the phone...but i told him about my adventure while looking for shoes...he mentioned walmart and that his room mate had gotten a nice pair there...so i said want to go to walmart? he said sure...so i picked him up and away we went...if anyone knows me i prefer comfort over fashion...the lighter the better....however i refuse to wear rediculous textiles...and if i had my way i'd be living in the tropics with nothing more than a loin cloth to protect my package from the sun....and maybe sandles...so...i found a couple pairs of shoes at walmart...they have a smart set up but for me...it's limited...i have to wear black sneakers...the sneakers have to have the arch padding...and they can't wear my ankles...and they can't be made outta cheap material...i've been wearing the same sneakers for 2.5 years now...the longest lasting sneakers i've ever had...but alass...the heel is wearing out...and is lumping up...so i checked out my first choice...to small..and the next size up is to big...no good...the only other pair there that caught my eye wore my ankles and lacked in comfort...flat bottoms are now good...it has to have cushion...and i dont want to buy the dr. scholls stuff......dark blue canvas not my color...then woody found a pair...but they wore my ankles too...so we decided to leave and then we saw payless shoes...it's right acoss the parking lot and we totally forgot all about it...we went in there and right way i saw a shoe that appeals to me...we went down the aisle and there it was...there were actually 2 nice shoes there...but one was 2 small and didn't come any bigger...so i put it behind the counter and decided to think about it...i'm going in to morrow to get them....finally...so then i took woody to the bank and made plans with rob to go play some pool...he said he'd be over around 7...at 8 i called his place...he was alseep and in coherent...so that was off...but his girlfriend cris was going out and i said call woody and if he'll go out i'll go out...so at 11 i was at JR's and an old highschool friend was playing with his wife and a bass player...they did classic favorite from many era's...and she sang them all really well...they need a drummer...besides that there were alot of other people there...i ended up talking to a girl...i forget her name but i think she was into me...i was thinking of giving her my card because she was leaving to go to someones house to see friends from away that are home visiting...but giving a girl my card? isn't that to tacky?...i came home and played some poker...and then wrote this "welcome to gravity ...i'm a space man away from home..miles away...roaming the galazy....i feel the weight...you see the impact...i taste the water...you see the pictures....i feel at home for a change..." then i sent it to hughie and he sent this back...so i have added it..."far behind the crowds but close enought to hear...the life i wanted is nowhere near.....and why won't this pen help me free these tears from my eyes" kinda cool...so at 8ish this morning the phone started to ring...HELLO...the ad says call between 12 and 5 pm...what part of that don't you understand...and how can i hire them if they can't follow sumple hrdc job bank directions.. i mean common people...so i kept getting woken up by these calls...and half of them the people would hang up...so the answering machine would just play a dial tone of a busy signal....i dont' answer the bussiness phone...i check the messages and then call them back...it's annoying when people hang up...so at 10 my mom calls regarding turkey dinner...she booked it for 11:30...so i had to get up as tired as i was and get ready and go...it was neet ...i listened to their drunkin cruize ship stories....good times...then i checked the mail and here i am... the picture is my fathers band from 1969...the gladiators...guess which one is my father... So did you find a pair of shoes at Payless? Your posts crack me up... my favorite point of today's post was... ""so i headed to source for sports...nothing...but i found out they sharpen skates...at that point i said this sucks...the sneaker industry is lame" So OK, the sneaker industry is lame... but do you have skates that need sharpening? During a boring existence at work... your posts or messenger conversations often brighten my day!

Is he the 2nd from the right?

What do you define as common people?

And that's for the mental image of you on a tropical island with just a loin cloth and sandals!

I think wally is the one on the left, kind of standing away from everyone.

I always get my shoes at walmart. That's where the cool people go.

Why do you need a loin for your package? couldn't you just use sunscreen?

It's gotta be either the 2nd from the right like I originally said... or the guy on the left like Mamma G said...

I am right then, He is the one in the back with the shades on. He would be the third guy from the left.Only he is back a bit. I am so smart. Please tell me that I am right. So what is your costume going to be?

I can guarantee the one on the left is your father and I think you should have a contest with pictures of good looking women and get people to pick out your mother. I really liked your poem/song and Hughie's addition was great too. I didn't realize that Hughie was so deep.

Payless shoes suck like lord of the rings book thery just completely ruin your day. each day something else breaks and you end up buying a role of duck tape to the store next to payless, The buck or two , that place is awesome they should make buck or two shoes i bet the quality would be perfect or almost and they would only cost a dollar or a dollar 50 anyways main point wal mart rules payless sucks and if you don't have money value village will do. have a fun expedition on your jorney finding the right pair of shoes. bye snake bite;)

I'm deep?
*insert shocked face here*

Sometimes "deep" can be confused with "disturbed"..must have something to do with the "same first letter" or something....
