Last night the temp dropped to below 10 degrees... That's a pretty good sign that summer is over on PEI... How ever the forcast doesn't look that bad for the next week... So it's perhaps just a sign... although swimmin at the beach isn't going to happen...
yesterday ...well check this out
this was the current conditions and although i have chopped up some weather pages before this is the real deal... we had a warning somewhere but it didn't state tornado's just water spouts over the water....There is a first for everthing I guess... and this might have been the reason waynes flight was delayed 2 hours... so let me talk about wayne
wayne and his wonderful wife patty were here for a week.... not at my place but for an over night.... i went up to O'Leary to spend tuesday night with them and get an early night so that we could get and early start the next day... It's almost a 2 hour drive... over 100 KM's .... this is the sunset that I was driving into
except my sunset had some clouds right near the horizon that kicked this sunset into high gear.... It seemed to last for ever too... i was so excited by this sunset... I'll never for get it... i need to get a good camera and take it with me everywhere... Sunsets can usually be awesome and i remember telling someone maybe my brother that I wish i had the camera to take these pictures and he said about each picture becoming just another sunset ... Actually i totally forget what he said... but it kinda made sence... but after seeing this sunset posted on the
apod site i realized I could get my pic posted on something like that... which would totally be worth it... anyways... it was an awesome sunset and as i pulled into O'Leary it was almost gone... it was almost violent... like watching a fire burn like crazy and then it's done... loud would have described this thing....
.... so i slept in my van and it wasn't that bad... i was kinda bored so i played along with the radio for a while... and got a couple of ideas for open mic night at Baba's...
I HAVE A FEVER AND THE ONLY PRESCRIPTION IS MORE COWBELL that was and ad on a moncton radio station ... from a skit from SNL it was christopher walken who said that as he was playing bruce dickinson producing BOC... funny stuff...
the next day wayne and patty and i headed for ch'town... we got to maggies resturant at about 10ish... we could have gone to the other end of the island before noon... but we took a couple of trips to some places enroute to my place to switch rigs so patty could see better... patty got to see where wayne grew up and went to school and even went into the old liquor store that he got kicked outta for having a video camera.... we drove into his old highschool and on the roof of the cafertia is written in BIG letters.... PENIS ........ punks....
so patty also went shopping at value village and we had a nice BBQ and practiced some songs.... we went over a lot of the Vitamin Voodoo songs that went better then last year when we had keith on drums... anyways... good times right.... so wayne comes up with an idea to cover and eric larsen song... it took me a couple of times to get it then play something neet to compliment the song and i was so sure if we should do it... so i pulled out the 4 cd compilation from the bands that hung out together over a certain time period... lookin for a copy of a song that we wrote that we weren't sure about on a change... so on comes a remo grainger song and wayne says i know that one... so i was like so do i... so we paid tribute to remo and eric and reunited on another coast.... strange way to tour... but it's fun... so we called a nite after some drinks and music and headed home to chill and hit the hay... i had to have them back to oleary for around noon... and i would have been screaming numbers except i couldn't think of any... and i was fine by the time we got to summerside...
took it easy thursday although i had work to catch up on...
friday they were going for lobster in New london... so i had lobster again after so long... i think it's been 5 years...
yesterday was interesting... with the weather conditions and then getting hang out with wayne and patty for anther 2 hours.... we went to barry's sports bar... nice place... and while we there jon and his girlfriend crystal came into have some supper... so wayne got to meet billy's cousin... i dropped them off at the airport and came home and had CIDER... my cousin wendy picked some up for me last weekend...
today i read my friend
calvins blogi was so far behind ... since july i hadn't read it... i had checked it but handn't had time to sit and read all of it... i've barely had time to update this thing... so here i am and that is the scoop... i suppose i could go on bout my sis moved to hali for school or my friday night poker win but i've said enough...
