sunday bloody sunday

i haven't had a drink since wednesday...wow i made it through the weekend.... i guess i'm not an alchoholic after all... i should celebrate with a few drinks... ya right...

anyways it's been a slow weekend up till today...got up and went to get the uhaul with miss maggie...turns out the heater doesn't work on this thing... so i drove it to her eliottes and then to maggies brothers x girl friends...then we loaded a bunch of junk from her place that belongs to him i guess and went to maggies... i then yook my own truck home to get a quick bite... by this time it was 2:30 and i had interviews to do at 3 so i helped out for 20 mins...by that time ryan was there and he can drive the truck...

so i get to do my interviews and the first guy is there just to say he can't work for only that much money...which is fine...he was there and didn't leave me hangin... any ways outta 6 interviews one person didn't show...her loss... so then ....

i go back to helpin with the move... but they are helping take a lad of stuff from the new place to the owners studio apparently he forgot this was moving day....so he spends the whole time on the phone and doesn't help...and we had to haul all his crap up 2 flights of stairs......

after that i figure i should go get the pay checks ...so i did and i dicided to stop at home for a minute... then i get a call from uncle wally...he's here... and he needs paper work.... that means i have to hook the office computer up to the internet because i had everything on the computer that isn't hooked up to a printer... i printed a 19 page booklet basically plus a duplicate of another 3 pager... and the 3 pager needed to by writtin ...i had to go back into the time sheets dating back into sept... so i got that all done and my room mate comes home and says they are done... wow... so i went to the office and talked to uncle wally then went to the secretary and then dropped off a couple times sheets....i for got to mention that i had to fire some one today..well i let him go...... and while i was at uncle wally's he gets a call to drop some stuff off at my cousins... so he sends me... which is alright...cause i haven't seen her for a long time... or her dog...the dog went wacko when i went in....

now i'm home and watch sopranos...ralph bit the biscuit......mmmmmmmmmmm...biscuit........

another free tourny

i went out after 36 mins of play... i ranked 1800 outta 3000.... i was doing well and i had a good hand... against what i knew wasn't gonna be a straight to my 2 aces... but he went all in and little did i know he had 2 pair... well if i was playin for cash i probably wouldn't have played the same way... it's all make believe and scripted... everyone knows those online poker sites are all rigged... same with vegas.... people like to throw there money away... they say if you tell people they need something they will pay alot of money for it... i think everyone needs to send me and envelop with a crisp 5 dollar bill in it... everyone... that's a great idea...


well gotta go and sit back and wait for the 5 dollars to start rolling in...

poker? hardly even know er

so last night there was another tourny...i noticed there is another one tonight...
so dr. sam MD says he'll watch and give his advice on when to fold or raise or call... anyways..it didn't take long i had 2 kings with an ace so i went all in and well one guy had a flush...but that didn't win it... the guy that won it had a full house or something retarded like that... other than that i don't think joey was on and i think lost wasn't on either... so i ended up watch and hour long "will n grace" which i never watch... but the girl who plays meadow on "the Soprano's" was on it playing a lesbian who was gonna come out at a thanks giving dinner... it was neet to see her doing other work... but i'm not gonna become a regular watcher...

how come i don't have to pay cover

last week i got into the VUG without paying cover...
then well let me start at the beginning... rob calls me up and says wanna go play pool... ok..sure.. i've got some coupons and dooleys dollars so...ok... anyways.. on the way he tells me he wants to get to the VUG before it starts cover... i was like ok... but i'm not staying late... brunch with my mom right... anways.. we played our pool and then went to the VUG... it was kinda quite... but then it started to pick up... slippery mel and sam showed up and mel bought me and rob both drinks for our birthday...which was nice... then or before then... some one mentioned it was the opening of the new JR's so before the night was over i decided to go check it out... one drink... i walked in... and was gonna talk to a bouncer to see what the deal was... i heard it was free cover... as i'm standing there waiting... some chick just walks right up the stairs...the bouncer is like hey... she just kept on going... so he looks at me and i'm like 3 dollar cover? he says don't worry about it... so i go to the bar downstairs and it's closed... there's 4 people standing around and i don't know them... so i went up stairs... the boys from chamberlain were there... that's all i knew.... the place was... well the dance floor was half packed...lame.... anyways... i came home and went to bed... today i missed brunch with my mom again... and the jam thing got cancled... so i watched "the terminal" the worst movie i've seen this year.... very bad movie.... anyways.... that is about it for today...

yesterdays silence vs. todays rant

so monday i posted nothing...i figured it was after midnight so that's kinda like monday... and tuesday i didn't leave the house...i barely got outta my PJ's...i don't have a vehicle on mondays and tuesdays for most of the day...and i didn't see my truck till close to five... monday i delivered supplies for work and partook in the free online poker tourny... i didn't win... the i watch wrestling... it was a better ep... then there was another free tourny that i didn't do to well in at 2am.... last night was so slow and as i was about to hit the hay at midnight... i figured i'd play a few hands at a free table... and noticed there was another free tourny at 2am... so i caught up on my taxi and elimidate from a tape i hadn't watch from thursday...i did well in the free table...and then i was kickin butt in the tourney... i was actually at the same table with a guy that i was playing with the night before...i'd have a great hand and he'd bet big and it would come down to me and him and he'd win with a jack... twice...and he was almost out... i almost went out a couple times... but i was gettnig great cards and winning some big pots... 6000 chips + i was up and everyone starts at 1500... it doesn't take long to loose that many... especially when the blinds get up to 100 and 200...
i finished at 300 something outta 2500 people... it was for a spot in a 300k tourny... i shoulda took some screen caps... but i didn't... so next time... there's a tourny tonight but i'm having brunch turkey dinner with my mom tomorrow at 11 so i think i'll skip it... they say playing poker releases the same chemicals in the brain that cocaine does... i don't know what cocaine is like but when you bet all in with 6000 chips weather is free or not on a pair of 4's and you flop another 4... it's a big rush... even bigger when you win... i know when i loose i'm still pumped... it's a gutsy move... and when you win by calling some one elses bluff... that's fun too...

on another note... our electric bill is due tomorrow ...it's my first bill... if anyone would like to donate to the cause of keeping my blog going by suppling power to my computer i would appreciate it... so would my room mate... i supposed to be jammin with some guys tomorrow evening... so that should be neet too... i'll let you know how that goes... outty for now...

cronicles of a drinking man

well what a strange weekend...
sunday i turned 30 i went out for dinner with my mom... and then i went to work... it was ok... then i picked up woody and we came to my place to watch the simpsons... then we went to baba's.. there were a few people there... more than i expected for a sunday... after my cousin neil showed up and the nacho's we set on the table the boys from chamberlain showed up then i noticed my friend julie and her boss were there... so i was gonna get another drink and as i was heading to the bar i mentioned to him that it was my bday... he got up and got everybody a drink... and made everyone sing me happy bday... then all of a sudden the bar got packed.... apparently there was a film festival in ch'town and baba's is the only good place to go on a sunday.... i ended up talking to some guy who claims he's a director... and was a judge in the festival... it started as an argument about tpb and i was saying the movie and he was saying the 1st season... apparently in directors terms what i call the movie is really the pilot... well i'm pretty sure they just made the "pilot" and weren't really thinking abuot doing a show... or a series... anyways... he was wanting to bet 5000$ when were both right... after that i bugged him with questions about making movies and stuff like that...

it was 10 after midnight so i went and asked the hostest what time last call was... she said as long as everyone keeps buying drinks she's stay open till 2am... i was amazed... normally they shut down at 12... so i dranker jaggermister for the first time and i drank kalua and baileys and rum all mixed together...which was called an "irish whitey" it was pretty good... i've never had baileys or kalua before so it was interesting... me and neil and woody and julie all walked home together and neil crashed on my couch...watching "the beach"...

it was a good night and i didn't break anything... that's all i have to say right now... so...

it was good... i chilled out all day... snl and mad tv were ok... nothing like last week
cept U2 did the 2 song thing and at the end they did an old song... and said we're going to do one more.. but they shut the show off at 2 am that was neet...

i'm currently watching ET... i'm going to dinner with my mom today and other than that and i might have to do some work...it's gonna be a quiet evening or day rather... i'll let you know how it goes... i think i'm gonna take a couple more pics of my chin and try to document the healing phase...or infection phase which ever happens first

last friday was my last drink...well except for wednesday and thursday and tonight...and well the holidays are coming and collicutt will be home visiting...then i figure i'll go sober till may or summer...we'll see... anyways... turning 30 is becoming a rough event...
i trying to do some break dancing... as i went down to do the worm my chin contacted the floor and well...i have a quarter inche gash... it's totalyy wack.... i don't get it... i still have a big blood stain on the palm of my hand and and there was enough blood on the floor to draw a pentagram...where are you shawn papp...

anyways... i have my chin taped...hoping i don't need stitches...and i'm gonna take pics after this blog entry and go to bed and hope that by monday i can start to heal with out hospital aid....

so tonight was the housewarming and going away and "bday party" for me...ya what ever... i didn't really want a bday party and i got just that... it was a party and i had a good time... it ended when i split my chin... and i was worried i'd have nothing really interesting to talk about this blog... strangers in the night...chances... funny stuff

so it's 4:30 am almost and i'm spent... i'm gonna try to sleep with this makeshift bandage on...
i have no shows to watch...well they can wait... i taped them... i was supposed to jam tomorrow in the day but nothing has been confirmed and everything was talked about over msn via msn.. so credibility is vauge.... i've neer met this guy...he's just a kid..18... we'll see how it goes...if he really gets it going... i've been 18...i've been 29... circumstances prevail... it's all good...

i did some work today... i saw my neice today... i saw my family today and i saw sasha the suck up she is... she snorres when she's not sleeping... it halarious... well

another day...another night

ok..so i had my joey to watch...but when michelle came over to visit we discovered that joey was a rerun... some how i'm not suprised... first of all joey as much as liked his character on friends has been a let down...how ever they are trying to develop the characters...and well revisit frasier when it came out...the first season was all about getting to know the new people... so i guess it's expected... how ever i have faith in joey... matt isn't a bad actor... joey is just a bad part... but i can relate to the stupid moron that he is... go figure... anyways... i want to stay current and well i've seen the episode...so i didn't watch it... so i had a shower and prepared to head to dooleys... before i get into that i want to mention the tv guide i found.... i reminds me of the original TV TV channnel.... when i moved to vancouver i discouvered the basic tv tv channel... when i came to visit PEI they had switched to the format that most cities use for their channel... like vancouver has...
the old way is better and this link is even better... apparently i can't copy and paste in this blog thing... something i will figure out soon... anyways.. how i found it was i typed in to google "charlottetown tv listing" and it came up... try it with your own town or city... let me know if it works... mines been down 2 times in the last 6 monthes...but it's better than the regular format...

ok...so big plans for dooleys...so at 8 rob calls and says he's ready to go... i'm like no i'm gonna go at 9:30 after joey... so he says i'll call you back...10pm comes and i call him... "i'll call you back in 5 mins" he says... so i hope in the shower... ring ring ring... he says he leaving for ladies night at the local hot spot for ladies night on a thursday... sure alright...i'll meet you there...
so i take my time...cause well they will be there...and they all have cel phones right... so i am ready to go and i get a call.. rob and co. haven't left but they are ready to go and going out the door... so am i
i leave get there the place is empty at 10:30pm... ok... well i'll get a drink and wait... i take one sip and they walk in and see the emptiness... the rush me to drink my rum n coke... then we head to the other bar...that apparently has a 5 dollar cover to see a live performance from scott parsons... well i just wanted to play pool... not pay cover... so i says i'm going to dooleys... so we all go to dooleys.. apparently rob had been drinking for a while and he wasn't into the pool as much as i was.. so i called my good friend hugh... 15 mins later and 30 mins to close he shows up and i won 2 of 3 games...how ever he did scratch on one of his 8 ball shots... but i was playing some really good pool... like johnny archer pool almost... anyways... dooleys closes and of to the other bar we went... the place is almost packed... i had cousins there and old friends... and new friends... so it was all good except for the lousy dance music they played... but what can you do...
basically it was some what of an uneventful nite... but it kept me entertained non the less... and i'm not drunk which is a good thing... it means i didn't spend to much money to make my self stupid...regardless... i have taxi and springer to watch and then bed time... it's 2 am...

tomorrow is a housewarming/alissa going away party/my brithday party cept that wasn't mentioned...so if you want to party with me on my bday this is your chance...cause i wasn't really gonna party at all for my bday... but ryan said we're having people over tomorrow...so better make the best of tomorrow... i might have an entry tomorrow before then... depends on the events of the day.... either way... i'll will most like post something with in the next 27 hours

well....what a night... looking back... i never shoulda got up and did that open mic thing... lucky for me... there wasn't to many people watching... the place was not packing a full and half of that crowd was out side int he smoking area... the rest were chatting amoungst themselves... so when i screwed up and stopped playing... they noticed and commented on their not paying attention... then i said never mind and they al cheered... but it was a cheer for me having guts i guess... cause i didn't see them up there playing...

as for the elimidate and taxi... tony adopted a kid... and elimidate wasn't anything worth mentioning... jerry springer was alright though...

well i've got some cleaning to do and bass playing to do... and perhaps i'll try to relearn some of my old catolog... and be ready for next weeks open mic ...

all right

so i went to the bar my good friend...had a couple drinks...went to another bar where i ran into some good friends...ol' friends...and some good new friends...so at the end i realized it was the end of the night and the open mic host was finishing the night and i was like...25 mins left i can fill this...
and since i just got a 5 string bass not to long ago i've neglected my reputoir....and as soon as i got ready... stage fright i guess... cause i couldn't remember a lyric... i got started and remember the next line kinda thing... i wasn't imbarrassed...but what was i thinking.... it was a good night all around... i talked to a couple of people this week about making some noise this week...so that's a start and today was a good day... interesting to say the least...

elimidate is about to start...and i haven't watch my taxi yet...jerry's next guest is over weight in a maury povich kinda way... but he's on because he's coming out of the closest... he is gay and wants to tell his gay lover he is gay...like he doesn't know...and his lovers is saying NO...

anyways...it's wack... i'll update the whole emlimdate thing tomorrow...i got some taxi to watch
